Jun 26, 2018 at 17:44 comment added Kevin @BobBaerker Target price, sure, but DCA and rebalancing are based on calendar timing and not market timing—the current and predicted future of stock prices.
Jun 26, 2018 at 16:53 comment added jamesqf @Daniel: Don't try to time the market in the short term. In the long term, see the comment about the difference between buying the S&P at its peak in '09, vs at the bottom in '09. Personally, I wouldn't put much into stocks for the next couple of years unless something changes radically, and am looking to gradually move 2-3 years living expenses into something less volatile. But that's just my opinion: further discussion might belong on the Politics site :-)

Jun 19, 2018 at 19:47 comment added Bob Baerker Is it a wise strategy to invest in stock as soon as possible to take advantage of a price dip? 100 years ago, Will Smith offered good advice on this subject: "Don't gamble. Take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it."
