The rule is pretty clear in the linked document, and when I asked one of them what they would send a $250 member it did assume a tangible value of admission. That's why I asked here - if there is a rule that permits it for lower amounts over $75 but under $250. | |

Since they have many donors, I presume someone would have had the IRS correct this if it wasn't acceptable. You're making the mistake of assuming the rules follow common sense; they don't have to, and they don't. | |

I do not see how admission could not be a tangible benefit. It's certainly why i'm buying the membership, after all, and undoubtedly why nearly all do. | |
