Dec 1, 2014 at 4:32 | comment | added | keshlam | I grant that the suggestion of two lawyers may be a bit paranoid... but my father was burned on a "friendly" deal where it turned out the lawyer was a bit more friendly with the other party and deliberately wrote one clause in a way that made it unenforceable in that state ("penalty" versus "liquidated damages"). If you're going to use a single lawyer, make sure you're both on record as paying him so you're both his clients and he's responsible to both of you. | |
