I am thinking about updating my computer and move from a PC to a Mac. Any ideas on how to transfer all of my accounts and transactions to the new computer? I've tried to use the GnuCash financial data and my accounts transfer but not my transactions.

Did you try just copying the data file across and opening it with the Mac version of GnuCash? – Lawrence Jul 22 at 9:44

  • It is easy - just know the folder where your transactions are stored (you can always double check with "Save As"). Copy that folder to a memory stick, then copy it on to your Mac - again just know where the folder is. Then open GNUCASH on Mac, instead of account setup just choose "Open" from File menu. Point it towards the main file in your copied over folder and you are done. I store either as XML file or as sqlite database file. To both the same applies. – r0berts 2 days ago
