What are the reasons why dividends have seasonality? I'm trying to understand the details of it, but I cannot find an article about it.

seasonality? what do you mean? – quid May 16 at 6:24
  • seasonality as in time series definition en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonality – Victor May 16 at 7:13
  • are you talking about each stock's dividends having seasonality or the wider market exhibiting seasonality? i.e are you looking for why having four evenly spaced dividends in a year ending (or starting?) with final results or why 250 (or similar) firms in a market congregate around a few days for their dividends? – MD-Tech May 16 at 7:29
  • @MD-Tech I'm interested in both – Victor May 16 at 7:37

Lol did you really link me to the definition of the word? Your question makes no sense. You should rephrase it or give an example of what you think should be referred to as seasonality. – quid May 16 at 14:55
