I became a Canadian resident in 2018, having spent 260 in Canada in the tax year. I've read some official guides, and examples there instruct to prorate federal credits to time of residence in Canada.

I am filing my return in TurboTax and partially the above principle matches to what TurboTax shows, for instance:

Basic personal amount in 2018 is $11,809:

11809 x (260 / 365) = 8411.89

The same is for spouse amount.

But for Canada employment amount ($1195 in 2018) it shows the full amount and not proportional. So does it for provincial tax credits.

I wonder is the principle is different for different credits or it's a bug in TurboTax? In former case, where can I find official information about it?
