Municipal bond has tax benefit. If market is efficient, doesn't that mean the wealthy investors (in highest tax bracket) will bid up the price (lower the yield) until the "tax equivalent yield (calculated by using highest tax rate)" is about the same as, let's say, corporate bond with similar credit quality. If that is the case wouldn't people in lower tax bracket getting insufficient yield by buying municipal bond?
