@sharptooth understanding general consequences of such Central bank actions is really important. Agreed. However, what terms would people use to seek out information about such events? Can the question be generalized so that it is not simply about the Swiss franc in this particular situation?

For example, Byelorussia has recently done something similar with its local currency - of course not so many people care because Byelorussia is not a big economy, but understanding general consequences of such Central bank actions is really important. | |
